Claudio completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in his hometown of Zurich in the horn class of Radovan Vlatković. Parallel to his studies at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), he played for two years as an academist in the Philharmonia Zurich, the orchestra of the Zurich Opera House. He was also a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra (GMJO) for several years, with which he performed in the most prominent concert halls of Europe.

Already in 2010, half a year before he finished his master studies, he won the position as principal horn in the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra in Innsbruck and has since March 2011 been principal horn in the Royal Danish Orchestra in Copenhagen.
