Bo Holten Symfoni for 10 (bestillingsværk for Ensemble Mutatis
Louise Farrenc’s (1819-1874) Nonet in Eb Major was her only chamber composition without a piano. It was composed in 1849 and performed in a private performance in the salon of Sophie Pierson-Bodin in December 1849.
Bo Holten (b. 1948) is one of Denmarks most prolific composer. Ensemble Mutatis commissioned a work in celebration of their 10 year anniversary in 2022 – “Symfoni for 10”. It was premiered at the Roskilde Schubert Festival in August 2022.
