susanja Nielsen
viola
Susanja actually wanted to become a cellist, but as the local music school didn’t have a small enough cello for her to start on, she began playing the violin. She went on to study the violin at Edsberg castle in Stockholm, HfM “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin and the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. Now, years later, she finally found her sound on the viola, and since 2018 she is principal viola in Malmö Symphony Orchestra. Susanja is a price winner of several competitions, and has performed as soloist with Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, NorrlandsOperans Symfoniorkester, Helsingborg Symfoniorkester and others. She is also an eager chamber musician, and particularly loves the energy and unlimited possibilities in Ensemble Mutatis.
