EMILY FOWLER

Emily Fowler grew up in Calgary, Canada, and began playing the violin when she was four years old. She went on to win all the major music competitions in Canada, as well as several international competitions, including the American Bach Soloists International Competition.
She studied with Almita and Roland Vamos, and holds both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, in Ohio.
Emily’s career spans over four continents, and she came to Denmark in 2006 after spending four years as a principal violinist in the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in Kuala Lumpur. In Denmark, Emily has held positions in Ensemble MidtVest, the Royal Danish Orchestra, and is currently Associate Concertmaster in the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. She is also in demand both as a chamber musician and as guest concertmaster in several orchestras in Denmark and Sweden.
