Over the years, Christian Ellegaard has participated in masterclasses with Nikolaj Znaider, Olga Parchamenko, Milan Vitek, Levon Chilingirian, Sylvia Rosenberg, and Gerhard Schulz among others. He has won first prize at Berlingske Tidende’s Classical Music Competition and the Jacob Gade Violin Competition, the audience prize and the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra Prize at the Danish String Competition, and in 2008 he received the Léonie Sonning Foundation scholarship for young musicians.

Christian Ellegaard has performed numerous concerts throughout Scandinavia, most of Europe, and in the USA as both a soloist and chamber musician.
