Förklädd Gud (God in Disguise) is one of Sweden’s most beloved musical works, composed by Lars-Erik Larsson in 1940 to a poem by Hjalmar Gullberg. The piece combines narration, solo voices, and orchestra in a poetic reflection on humanity, humility, and compassion.
In this performance, Ensemble Mutatis joins forces with Vox Mariae Chamber Choir under the direction of Ragnar Bohlin. Together, they present a newly arranged chamber version that brings out the lyrical intimacy and emotional depth of Larsson’s timeless score — a reminder that the divine can be found in everyday kindness.
